Sally Ruth Bass Dobson
Sally Ruth Bass Dobson, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Sept. 5, 2019 at the age of 89. She was born on Jan. 4, 1930 to Wesley Leon Bass and Nora Lee Sledge Bass in the County Line community of Dalby Springs, Texas.
She was a member of Nevills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
Sally is survived by her special niece, Barbara Ann Smittle and spouse Paul; niece, Judy Lawrence and spouse Charles; niece, Nora Lee Denny and spouse Rusty; niece, Lana Gay Kocurek and spouse Glen; nephew, Gary Lynn Bass and spouse Paula; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and her step children, Joe Charles and Lois Dobson, Mike and Jana Dobson, Richard Dobson, Janice Dobson Thomas, and Ruth Ann Dobson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Charles Dobson; brother, Leonard Bass; sister, Oleta Bass Thrift; sister Naomi Bass; and nephew, Merriel Bass.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Nevills Chapel Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, with visitation being held an hour before the service at the church. Burial will take place at Dalby Springs Cemetery in Dalby Springs, Texas.
