Susan Bassett Is Engaged To Ensign Carlson
Mr. and Mrs. William Forrest Bassett, formerly of Columbus, Ind., and Cleveland, O., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Susan, to Ensign Arnold Andrew Carlson, Parmelee road, Rockford, Ill.
Miss Bassett received her education at Hathaway Brown school, Cleveland, and was graduated from Sarasota high school. She attended DePauw University, where she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Edmund Munn of Columbus, Ga. Her paternal grandparents were the late Myra Wilcox Bassett and Herbert Hoxie Bassett of Columbus, Ind.
Ensign Carson graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. degree. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta, social fraternity and Alpha Delta Sigma, national advertising honorary fraternity.
He is at present stationed with the U.S Naval air forces at Pensacola, where he is an instructor in patrol bombers.
The date of the wedding has not been set.
