  Notes	The Syracuse Herald American, New York, February 11, 1996 Harold Bassett Harold "Bummer" Bassett, 76, formerly of 712 Lodi St., Syracuse, died Saturday in Auburn Memorial Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for The Post-Standard for 28 years before retiring. He was a semi-pro football player with the Thornton Terrors and also played in the Valley Softball League. Surviving are two brothers, Donald and Gerald, both of Syracuse; and a sister, Alberta of Syracuse. Services are 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home. Burial is in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse.
