Donald A. Jewett, 83, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 2, 1930 in Barre, VT to Edgar and Florence (Clark) Jewett. After retiring, he and his wife sold their home in Exton, PA and enjoyed traveling the country in their motorhome, visiting 45 of the 48 contiguous states. All will remember him for having a gentle soul and a beautiful smile that lit up his face. He loved the game of baseball, watching or coaching Little League games; playing golf; and going out for ice cream.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Annette (Winquist) Jewett; daughter Laurie and her husband Ed Devine of Monroe, NY; son Peter and his wife Judi of Ramsey, NJ; son Steven and his wife Brooke of Chester Springs, PA; six grandchildren, Karli, Connor, Tom, Matt, Brad and Scott; sister Shirley and her husband Roger Gilman of Windsor, VT; and many nieces and their families.
