The Reverend Frank W. Bassett
The Reverend Frank W. Bassett, son of Frank and Marie Bassett, White Plains, NY, passed away July 4th, 2017. He graduated from Manhattan College in 1970 and worked for the Department of Transportation after College. He entered the seminary in 1993 and was ordained a NYC Archdiocesan priest on May 20, 2000. His most recent parish was Holy Name of Jesus, Valhalla, NY. Fr. Frank is survived by his brother Michael & wife Jody Bassett, sister Barbara & husband Bill Magnan and sister Kathy and husband Michael Passarella. He is also survived by nephews David, Matthew & Richard Bassett and Jeffrey Passarella. A grandnephew Jaxson Bassett. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Edward Cardinal Egan Clergy Pavilion, c/o Mary Lynch, 5655 Arlington Ave, Bronx, NY 10471. There will be a brief viewing at the pavilion from 9-10:30 am, with a Mass in the chapel at 10:30 on Friday, July 7, 2017. Fr. Frank will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY following the mass.
