  Notes	Des Moines Register, March 27, 2016 Clarice Ruth Penley, Des Moines Clarice Ruth Penley, 91, was born December 23, 1924, the daughter of Theo and Olive (Bassett) Howard. She passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her home in Des Moines. Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., and funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Clarice's first love was family. She had a mischievous spirit and everywhere she went, she was surrounded by laughter. She retired from Allied Insurance Company and enjoyed ballroom dancing and reading. She is survived by her son Ralph Penley and his wife Lucy; son David Penley and his wife Diane; grandchildren Nathan Penley, Brandon Young, and Rainbow Penley; and three great-grandchildren.
