Bunn Bass, age 93, of Okeechobee died June 29, 2009 at his home. Born March 5, 1916 in St. Cloud to Tye and Maggie (Padgett) Bass he was a member of the North Okeechobee Church of God. He was retired as Supervisor of the Okeechobee County Cemetery Department. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Carnell Bass of Okeechobee; two sons, Joel Bass (Penny) of Flippin, Arkansas and Tye Bass (Glenda) of Okeechobee; two daughters, Kathy Puckett (Roy) of Oneonta, Alabama and Sandy Henry of Eufaula, Alabama; brother, Kirby Bass of St. Cloud; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Okeechobee Church of God, 301 NE 4th Ave, Okeechobee, with Pastor Don Leon and Pastor Noah Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may sign the guestbook at www.bassokeechobeefh.com.
