Robert E. Bassett
BASSETT, ROBERT E., 69, of Woodcrest Drive, died Thursday at home. He was the companion of Ida Goulart.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Orcutt) Bassett, he had lived in East Providence for many years.
Robert had worked for the former American Universal Life Insurance Company for many years. He had served in the Navy reserves as an electronics technician and enjoyed browsing through yard sales.
He is survived by a son, Robert J. Bassett and his wife Charlene, his beloved granddaughter, Kelsey; and brothers, William, John, George, Alfred, Joseph and Kenneth Bassett.
The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 9 AM in the Robert Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, (Rte.117), Coventry. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Calling hours Sunday, 2-4 PM. In Lieu of flowers memorials to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220, will be appreciated.
