Gilbert Francis Fallon, 64, longtime local resident, died Tuesday at the Torrington Extend-A-Care Facility after a long illness. Born in Pittsford, Vt., Feb. 15, 1910, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Eunice Bassett Fallon. Mr. Fallon leaves his widow, the former Elvera Castagna of Falls Village; two sons, Gilbert F. Fallon Jr. of New Jersey and Ronald Fallon of the U.S. Army station in Korea; five daughters, Mrs. William Dickinson and Mrs. Richard Fife, both of Falls Village, Mrs. Clifford Dauer of Spencertown, N.Y., Mrs. Richard Roberts of New Hartford and Miss Christine Fallon of Boston, Mass.; two brothers, Jerome Fallon of Pittsford and Jeremiah Fallon of Canaan; two sisters, Mrs. Ivy Candish and Mrs. William Masters, both of Albany, N.Y., 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funerals services will be tomorrow at 10 at the Newkirk Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Malley, rector of St. Joseph?s Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contgributions be sent to eh Cancer Fund.
