Tomiko Bassett
Tomiko Bassett of Mount Holly died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Samaritan Hospice Unit at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. She was 90.
Mrs. Bassett was born in Japan the eldest of four girls. She had lived in the Mount Holly area for 50 years.
Mrs. Bassett was an active member of the Pemberton United Methodist Church and was involved in every church function.
She was a loving and giving person who enjoyed taking care of her friends.
She was the wife of the late Dean Blair Bassett who died in 1988.
Mrs. Bassett is survived by some very close friends whom she considered part of her family and who considered her part of their family: Joan O'Connor and William Patterson of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Joan's children: Greg O' Connor and his wife, Nancy of Osprey, Fla., and their children: Kyle, Dylan and Ryan; Tracy and Peter Cacioppo of Franklin, Mass. and their children: Tessa and Kiera and Kelly and Brian Sweeney of Washington Crossing, Pa. and their girls, Michaela and Anna and Joan's former husband, Rod O'Connor of Riverside.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Pemberton United Methodist Church, 45 Hanover Street, Pemberton. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Friends are invited to call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Perinchief Chapels, Mount Holly.
