One of Mr. Bassett's particular interests has been Chamber of Commerce activities, and he has held office in two such organizations as well as in the Kiwanis Club. His personality, varied abilities, and present standing among the community's leadership give indication of a career of continuing value to the city.
Curry J. Bassett was born January 21, 1921, and is a native of Monticello, Florida. He received his public school education in that city, after which he was for two years a student at the University of Florida.
Since that time he has been associated with his father in the operation of Bassett Dairies, Inc., one of the concerns with wide recognition and public acceptance in the capital city. Curry J. Basstt familiarized himself thoroughly with its operations, and has merited his position of greater responsibility as secretary and treasurer of the company, and as general manager of the Tallahassee plant of the dairy. Mr. Bassett's interest in the organization has gone beyond the day-to-day aspects of its mangement. Interested in writing, he is compiling a brief "Story of Bassett Dairies, Inc." A particularly valuable and necessary project in view of the fact that this has become one of the leading concerns in its field throughout the state.

He is past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and is now a director of the regular Chamber of Commerce of Tallahassee.
