Thurman Lee Bass
Funeral for Thurman Lee Bass, 72, of Cushing will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with Pastor Grady Gladden, Pastor Jonathan L. Suber and Pastor Ralph Bowlin officiating and burial following in McKnight Cemetery.
Bass die Saturday afternoon at this his daughter?s home in Etoile under the care of Hospice in the Pines. He was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Cushing, Texas, to Willie E. and Gertie Rawlinson Bass. He was a lifetime resident of Cushing and was a plant mechanic for Striker Creek Electric Plant. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and was a member of the Central Heights United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Bass of Cushing; son, Glenn D. Bass of Cushing; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nelwyn and Troy Rawlinson of Houston, Rita and the Rev. Paul Suber of Henderson, Texas, and Gayla and Pastor Rondel Slatter of Etoile, Texas; one brother, Firman R. Gass of Baytown, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan L. Suber, Nathan S. Slatter, Mason Adam Slatter, Willie B. Kinney, Carol Keith Moore and Granville Dale Reed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Barnhart, Houston Wilkerson and Jimmy Roddy.
The family will received visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dickie Allen Funeral Home of Cushing will direct arrangements.
