  Notes	Billings Gazette, Friday, February 19, 1999 Rudy Grossman Sr. Rudy Grossman Sr., 86, of Billings, passed away Feb. 17, 1999, at the Western Manor Care Center. He was born Sept. 7, 1912, at Dodge, N.D. He was the son of Cristina Koch and William Grossman Sr. On Jan. 3, 1943, he married Sylvia Jacquline Bassett in Cape Cod, Mass. They met at the USO and they were sweethearts of the USO. He farmed in Hardin and opened the Midget Bar there. He was a member of the DAV and the American Legion. His favorite pastime was working with antiques. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Judy (Phil) Staudinger and a son, Rudolph Grossman Jr. (Vicky); three grandsons, Rudy III (Rise), Philip Staudinger III (Misty) and Dustin Grossman (Jennifer); one great-grandson, Wyatt Grossman; and one brother, John Grossman. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Grossman and George Grossman; and one sister, Ruth Miller. A private graveside memorial service will be held at Terrace Gardens Cemetery with military rites. Cremation has taken place at Smith?s Crematory.
