West Wareham ? Ruth B. Hathaway, 89, of West Wareham passed away Friday July 26th, at her home in West Wareham. Ruth was the wife of the late Herbert C. Hathaway.
Ruth was born on May 4, 1924 the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Benson Bassett. She attended Wareham Public Schools and graduated from Wareham High School. She worked in Boston for many years as a secretary for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. Ruth was very involved and volunteered in her church the Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed Camping, fly-fishing and gardening.
Ruth is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and she is the sister of the late Arthur Bassett, Ralph Bassett, Ethel Alto, Lois McGillen, Carol Leconte and Phillip Seaver.
Ceremonies:
A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 1, at 6:30 pm in the Church of the Good Shepherd 74 High Street Wareham, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be private.
