Paul Bassett
RIDGE MANOR, Fla. - It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Bassett announces his passing May 10, 2023, in Ridge Manor, Florida at the age of 74.
Paul was born in Waterbury on April 16, 1949, the son of Everett S. and Eleanor Bassett. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and attended the University of New Haven and Rutgers in New Jersey.
He worked in the film industry in New York City for Cine 60, later moving to Florida where he worked until COPD forced his retirement. Paul had a love for the beach and in Florida found peace.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Gugliotti and Susan Cugno, both of Florida, Clarice Bassett of Connecticut, and his brother Charlie Bassett of California. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Bassett, and brother, David Bassett.
A memorial service will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Mill Plain Union Church at 10 a.m., coffee hour to follow.
Burial is at the convenience of the family.
