      Milo Bassett Dies Suddenly
      Stricken Last Week After Return From Funeral of Brother Who Died in Vermont
      Funeral This Tuesday

      Milo E. Bassett, Sr., died early last Saturday morning in the Atlantic City Hospital, following an illness of only a few days? duration. The death resulted from blood poisoning. He was removed to the hospital on Wednesday of last week.
      Mrs. Ella Blake, a sister of the deceased who resides in California, was notified of the illness of her brother and immediately started East. She did now know of the fatal termination of the ailment until she arrived here on Tuesday.
      Mr. Bassett was taken ill following his return from Vermont, where he attended the funeral of his brother. A boil developed into a carbuncle, which resulted in blood poisoning.
      Mr. Bassett was born at Barre, Vermont, Dec. 11, 1871, and was the son of George W. and Carrie Bassett. He is survived by a widow and four children, George W., Mile E., Howard T. Bassett, and Gwendolyn B. Goodwin, one grandson, Milo E. Goodwin; two brothers and a sister.
      He was a member of Granite Lodge, No. 24, F. and A.M.; Ruth Chapter, No. 35, O.E.S.; Winnett Council, No. 10, D. of P.; Iroquois Tribe of Red Men, No. 16, of Barre, Vermont; Trinity Chapter, No. 38, Royal Arch Masons; Atlantic Commandery, No. 20; Atlantic City Shrine Club; Loyal Order of Moose, of Atlantic City; Cresent Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S, of Trenton; the Granite Cutters? Union, of this city.
      The funeral was held in the First Presbyterian Church, Madison and Washington avenues, this Tuesday, at 2.30. Burial was made in Pleasantville Cemetery. Members of Keystone Lodge, No. 153, and Charles H. Mann Lodge, NO. 344, F. and A.M., attended the church services and interment.
