Elaine A. Kronewitter (Picture included)
ROLLING PRAIRIE ? Elaine A. Kronewitter, 78, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to the late Ralph and Wreta Bassett on April 25, 1937, in LaGrange, Indiana. She was a 1955 graduate of Scott High School and then became a licensed cosmetologist. On March 15, 1958, in Bristol, Indiana, she married the love of her life, Paul, who survives.
Elaine loved taking long walks on the beach with Paul while stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. She enjoyed her garden, traveling and her dogs. Elaine was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is also survived by children, Paula (Tim) Wheatbrook, Kirk Kronewitter, Tina Keene and Kip (Amber) Kronewitter; grandchildren, Derek (Kelley) Williams, Ryan (Monica) Williams, Brad Keene, Kiersten (Christina) Keene, Charlie, Morrigan, Greyden, Aubrey and Kylee Kronewitter; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (late Dave) Anderson and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Charlotte Miller, Jane Eash and Martha Lou Lee, and brother, Charles Bassett.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at noon at the Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, Indiana. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.
