Virginia Bassett
Virginia "Ginny" Ellen Bassett, age 101, of Saline, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026 at American House on Carpenter Road where she lived.
Virginia was born August 8, 1924 to the late Oral and Reta (Rose) Bassett. She is preceded in death by her brothers Burl N., Robert M., and Donald L. Basset. She was never married but is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her many friends. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Saline.
Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Interment will take place at a later time in Oakwood Cemetery, Saline where she will be buried next to her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ginny's name are encouraged to: Saline Area Senior Center (SASC), 7190 N. Maple Rd., Saline, MI 48176.
