Effie Bass Malone Childers
Mrs. Effie Malone Childers, of 5309 Alpine Way in Louisville and formerly of Mannsville, Taylor County, daughter of the late William and Susanna Noel Bass, was born in Casey County, March 3, 1886. She died in Louisville, Thursday, July 4th. Mrs. Childers professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Farmers Chapel Church of God and was married to the late Dellie Malone some 62 years ago. To this union one daughter and three sons were born and surviving are: Cleophas Malone and James Marshall Malone both of Louisville. Some 44 years ago she united in marriage to the late Charlie Criss Childers. Besides her sons, she is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mont Bass of Marseilles, Illinois. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 7th in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Rev. Clay Dixon officiating. Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Cleveland Minor, Eddie Childers, Albert Hardin, Jessie Tungate, Ezra Caffee and Finis McDonald.
