Mrs. Nellie Bassett
Mrs. Nellie M. (Cooley) Bassett, 85, of 164 Maple St., widow of Hazen Bassett, died Friday night. She was born in Alton, N.H., on Feb. 23, 1868, the daughter of Frank and Abigail (Perkins) Cooley, and had been a resident of Springfield for the past 23 years. She was a member of Agawam Congregational Church. She leaves a son, F. Clyde Bassett of Needham; a brother, Everett B. Cooley of East Rochester, N.H., a sister, Mrs. Bessie M. Young of Rochester, N.H., and three grandchildren. They body will be taken to Rochester, N.H., in charge of the Dickinson-Streeter Co., for committal service at 1 Tuesday.
