LAGRANGE ? Martha Lou Lee, 87, of LaGrange and formerly of Van Buren Township died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange.
Mrs. had lived in LaGrange and Elkhart counties her entire life.
She was a homemaker and registered nurse.
Mrs. Lee was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in rural Shipshewana and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was a volunteer and driver for many years with Meals on Wheels.
She was born March 13, 1927, in Scott to Ralph and Wreta (Hagerty) Bassett. She married Robert E. Lee on Aug. 19, 1950, in Scott. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Michael Bachmann of Richmond, Virginia, and Colleen and Ronald Hostetler of Topeka; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Debra Lee of Middlebury and Byron and Suzanne Lee of Shipshewana; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marilyn Anderson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Elaine and Paul Kronewitter of Rolling Prairie.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Charlotte Miller and Jane Eash; and a brother, Charles F. Bassett.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Scott United Methodist Church, 7020 N. C.R. 675W, Shipshewana, with the Rev. Tammy Lugar officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-7 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange.
