Elizabeth Saucier Bass
Elizabeth Saucier Bass, wife of the late Robert O. Bass, died on February 3, 2002, at the age of 92. She was a native of Mississippi, a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA and a Slidell, LA resident for the past 32 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Slidell and the Slidell Art League. Elizabeth was a homemaker, artist, seamstress, gardener and musician. Beloved mother of Sylvia Ellis of Chalmette, Margie Thompson of Atlanta, GA, Ruth Phillips of Chalmette and Carolyn Mackell of Huntington Beach, CA. Loving grandmother of Linda Thornton, Sharon Cavin, Stanley Brezniak, Carol Ann Collins, Mark Phillips, Robert Collins, Mary Swindler, Judy Phillips, Patsy Walker, Lori Bosarge, Alan Phillips, Elizabeth Cook, Elizabeth Spencer, Susan Hickey, David Phillips and Karen Radi. Also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2002, at Schoen Funeral Home of Slidell, 3808 Pontchartrain Dr., Slidell, LA at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Carroll Townsend, Rev. James Bayham and Dr. Michael Claunch officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2002, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at Schoen Funeral Home of Slidell. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA immediately following services.
