Bass took place at Oconee yesterday from the First M.E. church, under the direction of the Woodmen. The Rev. Patrick officiating. The services were largely attended. Mr. Bass has been a sufferer from diabetes and had been ill for three years, during which time he has been seeking his wonton health. A few weeks ago he went to Dawson Springs, Ky., for the benefit of his condition, but the water counteracted on his system and made him much worse. He was preparing to return home and fainted at the the depot in that city, and was taken back in the hotel, where he died shortly afterwards. The remains were brought to Oconee Sunday. Deceased was 47 years of age and one of the best known farmers of this section. He leaves a wife and one son.
