Harry Bassett Dies After Short Illness
Death Yesterday Morning Thought to Have Been Hastened by Accident Saturday Night

Excitement caused by a slight accident Saturday evening when one of the wheels of a buggy he was driving was broken off is believed to have hastened the death yesterday morning of Harry Bassett, 16 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bassett, 410 South Tenth street. Death was caused by a blood clot on the brain, superinduced by nervous excitement.
The lad did not become critically ill until early yesterday morning. He went to bed Saturday night with a slight headache and yesterday morning told his parents that he was unable to take his paper route. He was a carrier for The Gazette. A doctor was called but before the physician arrived th boy was dead.
Bassett had just started in High school and was known in athletic work at the Y.M.C.A. His sister graduated from High school two weeks ago.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from Beyle Brother’s undertaking rooms. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
