Mrs. Bassett was employed for 29 years at Miss Porter's School. She was a embmer of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Survived by a son, Stafford L. Bassett of Hampton; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Newport News.
