Marie Bassett, 75, of Grace, ID, passed away peacefully at home at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from an extended battle with cancer. She was born March 26th,1940 in Delta, Colorado to Adolph and Juanita Patterson. She is survived by her husband Loran Dee Bassett whom she married on November 28, 1971. Also surviving are her sister Karen Chambers (Bob), Oberlin, KS, her brother Charles Patterson, her daughter Rhonda Cole of Bancroft, ID, her sons Wayne Bredehoft (Tina) of Grace, ID and Brad Bassett (Tamra) of Pocatello, ID; Grandchildren: Kylo Bredehoft (Alexi), Kya Peoples (Derek), Weston Clements, Chante Lewis (Tyler), Desiree Lee, Cassidy, Abigail and Logan Bassett; great grandchildren Brycen, Kayden, Taylee and Syler Peoples, Wyatt Lewis, and Karson Bredehoft. Pat spent much of her life as a skilled nurse who loved her career. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She lived to enjoy her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always did everything she could to attend all of the sports and activities of all of her family members. Pat's two great joys other than her family were camping and Harley Davidson motorcycles. She loved to camp and she loved to ride! The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday November 29th, 2015 at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, ID. The funeral service will follow the next day at 10:00 AM on Monday November 30, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church in Soda Springs, ID.
