Itley Leroy Powers, 67, of 1023 Tec. Rd. died October 27, 1995, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.Funeral is 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Archie Neal and Reverend Dick Young officiating. Burial is in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw.Mr. Powers was born January 24, 1928 in Hemingway, South Carolina to his late mother, Elizabeth Helon Bass and his late father, Itly Wilson Powers. He was a member and past deacon of the First Baptist Church and owned Ray Powers Jewelers. He was a Navy Veteran of the World War II Korean Conflict. He enjoyed flying and ham radio.Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Anne Ratliff Powers; daughter, Denise Garris of Cheraw; sister, Eunice Snowden of Hemingway; nephews, Marvin Snowden of Hemingway and Hugh Wilson of Hemingway; and two grandchildren.Pallbearers are Russell 'Buddy' Board, Billy Joe Moore, Ralph Johnson, James C. Crawford III, Farrar Snowden and Will Snowden. Honorary Pallbearers are the Berean Sunday School Class.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
