Delores Ann Jackson
A lifelong resident of Gonzales and retired from Security Industrial Life Insurance Co. and Bank of Gonzales, she died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. She was 63 and a native of Galvez. Visiting was at Hambrick's Family Mortuary, Gonzales, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Visiting at St. Paul Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. James McMeller and the Rev. Samuel Singleton Jr., pastor. Interment in the Ealy Family Cemetery, Galvez. She is survived by her husband, Webb Bassett, Gonzales; mother, Sylvia Ealy, Gonzales; a daughter, Ethel Jackson, Los Angeles; a son, Issac Glover Jr., Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Issac Glover III, Gonzales and Daniel J. Glover, Atlanta; a stepson, Adrian Washington, Chicago; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Glover, Baton Rouge; a sister, Ethel L. Burns, Gonzales; two brothers, Joseph Ashton, Baton Rouge and David Jackson Jr., Zachary; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her father, David Jackson Sr.; and grandparents, Joe and Jamelia Ealy. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church serving as the secretary and usher. She was a tireless worker for her family, community and church. Her love, patience and kindness will be sorely missed by all.
