William Lee Bass
William Lee Bass, 79, passed away June 12, 1994.
Born in Pulaski, Tenn., he had lived in this community since 1944. He was a construction worker for the H. B. Lockhart Co., retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Erie; sons, Kenneth (Stella) Bass, Oscar (Amelia) Williams, J.C. Williams; daughter, Carolyn (Barry) Hairston; sister, Elease Seay, all of Akron; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; special friends, Rawleigh Alexander and Edna Cutts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Stewart & Calhoun Chapel, with Pastor Lorenzo Glenn officiating and Pastor Frank Williams Jr. assisting. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 12 to 2 p.m.; the Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 757 Baird St., Akron 44301.
