Elvie J. Bass
Funeral services for Elvie J. Bass, 80, of 300 E. Glen ave., a retired postal service clerk, who died at 12:20 a.m. yesterday at Methodist hospital where he had been a patient for four days, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Cumerford-Endsley memorial home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the mortuary this afternoon and evening.
A former resident of Phoenix, Ariz., he came to Peoria only three weeks ago to make his home.
Born in Canada, Jan. 3, 1874, he was a son of Edmund and Elizabeth Murray Bass. His first marriage was to Ethel McFarland. She died, and on July 14, 1927, he married Novia Spann in Arizona. She died there last month.
Surviving are two sons, V.T. Bass and Elvie J. Bass, jr. both of Peoria.
