Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Red Oak. The Reverend Mr. Avery will officiate. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The body will be taken to his sister’s home, 204 West Cobb Street, to lie in state from Monday until Tuesday at 11 a.m., when it will be taken to Red Oak for the funeral. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Luvenia Bass; 21 sons, one daughter, one sister, three brothers and 22 grandchildren.
