Special: William Edward Bass, 62 years old, died in the Conway hospital late yesterday afternoon after several weeks? illness. Mr. Bass came to Conway from Marion county and has served as a member of the police force in the town of Conway for the last 15 years. Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Blanche Webster, of Mullins; one daughter, Mrs. R.S. Moseley, of Latta; two sons, Private John H. Bass, of Fort Benning, Ga., and W.F. Bass, of Conway; one sister, Mrs. A.M. Biggs, of Petersburg, Va., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will take pace form the Conway Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o?clock, with the Rev. F.E. Dibble, officiating, assisted by the Rev. B.L. Knight, the Rev. F.H. Daniel and the Rev. C.D. Brearley. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
