Andre Bassett
Andre Bassett (born Andrea Bassetti), 91, contractor, died November 3, 1991 in Sandy, Utah. Born November 17, 1899 in Mercalio, Varese, Lombardy, Italy to Cesare and Carolina Adelaide Binda Bassetti. Andre moved to San Francisco in 1924 after living in Italy, Paris, and Buenos Aires. He married Laura Irene Lewis April 3, 1927, in San Francisco; sealed in Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 3, 1981. She died August 27, 1988. His family was his life. Member of LDS Church. Veteran of Italian Army World War I. Survived by three children, Richard A. (Sandi) Bassett, Mountain View, California; Ramon E. (Peggy) Bassett; Kathy (Brett) Paulsen, both of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Brent, Craig, Bryce, Reed, Mike, Clark, Lance, Mark and Rob Bassett, Teresa Brooks, Greg, Bryan, Rochelle and Richard Bassett, Chett, Mori, Richard and Ted Paulsen; 27 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and husband; Veda Hubert, Afton Bryan, Connie (Ed) Wood, Helen (Ed) Paczkowski. Preceded in death by grandchild, Todd Paulsen; great grandchildren, Erin Bassett, Jessica Paulsen; eight brothers, two sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, November 8, 1991, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Dr., where friends may call Thursday 6-8 pm. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Primary Children’s Medical Center, 100 No. Medical Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah 84113.
