Bassett, 59, of Wellington, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at his residence. Born in Oberlin, he was a lifetime resident of Wellington. Mr. Bassett owned and operated Wellington Laundry for 20 years. He was a member of the McDonald Coffee Club. Survivors include daughters Kimberly Poling of Wellington, and Melissa Bassett of Elyria; sons Michael Bassett of Florida and Jason Bassett of Wellington; six grandchildren; and sisters Barbara Bailing of Stow and Beverly Anderson of Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Josephine (nee Lilly) Bassett. Frienda may call 10 a.m. until time of memorial services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norton Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington. The Rev. Tom Keller will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
