  Notes	Palatka Daily News, Florida, 13 February 1995 Charlie M. Bass Charlie M. Bass, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at West Volusia Memorial Hospital in DeLand following a long illness. He was a native of Berrian County, Ga. He had made Crescent City his home since 1984 moving there from Jacksonville. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, in the construction trade. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pomona Park. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Bass of Crescent City; daughters, Dorothy Scott of Jacksonville and Martha White of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Walter Bass of Jasper, Ala., and Fred L. Bass of Phoenix City, Ala.; sister, Ruby Cooper of Jasper, Ala.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Fiurst Baptist Church of Pomona Park with the Rev. Gary Munson officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery in Crescent City. Clayton Frank and Sons Funeral home in Crescent City is handling arrangements.
