A Caldwell Groom and a Brenham Bride Will Wed Today
Today (Wednesday) at eleven o?clock the ceremony which will unite in marriage Mr. Homer Lampkin, of Caldwell, and Miss Marguerite Bassett, only daughter of Mrs. Sallie Bassett, will be solemnized at the residence of the bride on South Market street. There will be no ostentatious decorative display, but the air of sentiment and sweetness that always surrounds a home wedding will be abundantly in evidence on this happy occasion. Rev. George Lloyd, pastor of St. Peter?s church, will officiate, employed the beautiful ring ceremony of the Episcopal ritual in solemnizing the martial rites which forever seal the plighted faith of hearts with vows of eternal constancy, love, honor and obedience. The groom is one of the popular and promising young men of Caldwell, whose success in securing one of Brenham?s daughters for his bride is a criterion of the good luck that attends his efforts in other directions, and who is esteemed in his community as highly as any young man who lives there.
The bride, as mentioned above, is the only daughter of Mrs. Sallie Bassett, born and reared in Brenham, a young lady of many attractive personal traits and accomplishments, with all the charms of face, mind and heart, that make up the composition called perfection in young womanhood. She is a member of the W.Y.Z. Club, a feminine association of twenty-five members, and two years standing, and is the second member whose wedding has occurred since the club began its official existence.
The groom accompanied by his sister and a party of Caldwell young people reached Brenham last evening on the belated Santa Fe, having embarked from Caldwell on the local and changed cars at Somerville, the passenger overtaking them there.
The wedding party will return to Caldwell on the noon Santa Fe to attend the Jenkins-Delemater nuptials there tonight.

Mother Reveals Engagement of Margaret Lamkin
Mrs. Margaret B. Lamkin, 4215 Lemmon, has announced the approaching marriage of her daughter, Miss Margaret Neville Lamkin, to Elim Rytikow, which will take place Dec. 2 in Memphis, Tenn. The couple will make their home in Dallas after June 1, 1938.
Mr. Rytikow is a member of the Don Cossack Russian Chorus.
