James Robert Bassett
James Robert ?Bob? Bassett, Jr., affectionately known by many as ?Little Bobby,? passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born on March 19, 1951, in Weaverville, North Carolina.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert ?Bob? Bassett, Sr. and Willie Mae (B??rigmon) Bassett; and his sister, Barbara (Bassett) Gibbs, and her husband, John Gibbs.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Teri Bassett; his daughter, Brenna Rose Brown and son-in-law, Chris; his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Owen, Dean, and Mable Jeane; and a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bob lived a life rooted in family, faith, and love. Over the years, he not only called Weaverville, NC home but also Mt Pleasant, SC; Kennesaw, GA; and Lakeland, TN, home.
Bob will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave?especially to his family. His greatest legacy will be the memories he created with them and the love that will remain long after his passing.
A visitation will be held on August 28 from 2:00?4:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church Bartlett, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m.
