Vicki Bassett
Vicki S. Bassett, 63, of Havana, passed away at her home at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was born September 4, 1949 to Charles and Maxine (Parsley) Morton. She married Raymond Bassett on August 3, 1967 in Havana.
Mrs. Bassett is survived by two daughters, Christe Smith of Arkansas and Angie Sarff of Havana, two sons, Tony (Barb) Bassett and Jeremiah (Crystal) Bassett, all of Havana, seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Steve Morton of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Bassett was a member of the Havana Assembly of God. She had worked in home health care and had been the School Bus Monitor for the Havana School District for the past ten years.
Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will hold a memorial service at her church at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Reverend Paul Homan will officiate.
A dinner will follow at the church and her friends are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Please let Vicki’s family know if you plan on attending the dinner so that they may have an estimate of how much food to prepare.
