Timothy Bass

With his wife by his side at his residence, Timothy A. Bass, age 71, took his final flight from this earth to heaven, Saturday August 18, 2012. Timothy was born in Racine May 19, 1941, son of the late Nelson ?Omer? and Ruth (nee; Fynn) Bass.
Tim was a graduate of Washington Park High School ?Class of 1959? and the Layton School of Art. Tim was proud of his country and the military and served in the United States Army Reserves. He was employed with Motor Specialty for many years until his retirement in 1998. On October 1, 2004, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Pamela (nee: McKoy) Eickhorst. Tim was a pilot who loved flying and was vey active in the EAA where he served as chairman of the Volunteers for Homebuilt Parking. He also served as past president of EAA Local Chapter 838, chairman of the Batten Field Museum board and was instrumental in the building and maintenance of the museum. He also actively encouraged young people to fly through the Young Eagles program. In his spare time, he enjoyed socializing and dining at good restaurants, especially his times with friends at the Yard Arm, boating and good times on the lake, long drives, classic cars, NASCAR, reading, history, politics and the GOP. He will be dearly missed
Survivors include his loving wife, Pam; his children, Lt. Colonel Mark (Joanne) Bass and their children, Julia and Olivia, Cindy (Bill) Bittner and her sons, Sam and Max Connor; step-children, Christopher (Adrienne) Kruse and their two sons, Christian and Caden, Lisa (Rob) Pirk, Amy Eickhorst and her children, Jersey and Payton; siblings, Kay D?Acquisto, Tom (Judy) Bass, Barb Kasper, Richard Bass, John Bass; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday August 23, 2012, 1:00 p.m., with Chaplain Scott Roix officiating. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery, Kenosha. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
Thank you to director and manager, Dale Nees and Cindy Kubowski and all the supervisors for their support and allowing me time to care for Tim at home, to Dr. Michael Mullane and staff, to Wheaton Franciscan 2D staff, especially Tanya, Pam, Sam, Sara, Pia and Erin, and to my son and daughter, Chris and Lisa, neighbors, Bob and Harmony, Bear and Sarge, for all you did for Tim and me, and to WF-All Saints Hospice, Deb Holden and Mary Jensen for all of your prayers, friendship and loving care.
