Gladys Marie Bass
Gladys Marie Bass, 89, of Marion, was received in the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Regency Care of Black Mountain.
Gladys was born in Buncombe County, NC on March 6, 1933, to the late Donald and Lola Roberts. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the Lord with all her heart. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Bass Guzman; two sisters, Aileen Peterson and Ruby Ayers; four brothers, Dexter Roberts, Gene Roberts, Larry Roberts, and Virgil Brendle; and two grandchildren, OJ Finley and Chrissy Guzman.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Gary Bass and wife Cindy of Marion; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. Rev. Jimmy Upton will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
