Funeral arrangements will be announced by Dial Funeral Home. Mr. Bassett operated a wholesale fish market. He was the son of the lat Michael and Anna Googe Bassett. Surviving are a son, Henry G. Bassett II of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Mrs. Owen D. Helmholdt of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, Michael Bassett Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five sisters, Mrs. Susie Yeomans of Moncks Corner, Mrs. Martha Kinard of Fairfax, Mrs. May Crapps of Estill, Mrs. Sallie Allen of Allendale and Mrs. Laura Dowling of Thomasville, N.C.
