Mr. Albert ?Bud Bass Jr.
Services for Mr. Albert "Bud" Bass Jr., age 79 of Olla, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2008, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Ricky Vines and Bro. Randy Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Olla.
Albert Bass was born on March 2, 1928 in Olla to the union of his parents, Albert Sr. and Eva Cruse Bass and passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Bass was a member of Standard Baptist Church. He was a very proud veteran having served occupational duty in Japan during World War II. He worked for 34 years with the Department of Transportation and Development and retired as a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Rodney Bass and his sister, Eunice B. Peters.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cora Mae Milton Bass, his daughters, Sharon Bass Garrett of Calhoun and Shirley Bass Mann of Olla, his son, Ronald Bass and wife, Becky of Houston, TX, seven grandchildren; Angela Thorn and husband, Shannon, Shannon Roberts, Amanda Hughart and husband, Chris, Raun Albert Bass and wife, Tiffany, Rick Bass and wife, Shannon, Robert Bass, and Rory Bass, four great grandchildren; Jordan Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Colin Thorn, and Emma Bass.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Thorn, Chris Hughart, Raun Bass, Rick Bass, Robert Bass, and Rory Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Colin Thorn.
