Stephanie Anne Bass
Stephanie Anne Bass, beloved daughter of Kim and Bob Bass of Rio Rancho passed away January 3, 2003. Stephanie was born June 11, 1989 in Colorado Springs, CO. Stephanie loved music especially country and classical, and played the piano and cello. She was an 8th grade student at Rio Rancho Mid-High, where she was a member of the school orchestra. Stephanie also loved frogs, and had three pet poison-dart frogs in addition to an extensive collection of frog memorabilia. Her other interests included reading, writing, and hiking, and she enjoyed summer vacations in the Colorado Mountains. Stephanie was a member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the youth group and sang in the church choir. In addition to her parents, Stephanie is survived by a sister, Christina; and grandparents, Harve and Bonnie Wolfe of Tucson, AZ, Viva Bass of Colorado Springs, and Don Bass of California. Stephanie is also survived by 15 aunts and uncles; and 15 first cousins. A Memorial Service for Stephanie will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, 1004 24th St. Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in memory of Stephanie be made to the Children's Cancer Fund of New Mexico, (505) 224-7173.
