Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wolford Jr. attended the wedding of their grandson, Daniel Bassett, to Patricia Newell at East Syracuse on Saturday morning. The reception was in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bassett will make their home in East Syracuse.
Mr. and Mrs. Millard Bassett and Janet, Jr. and Mrs. Weller and children and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wolford Jr. were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Newell at East Syracuse.

Daniel Bassett of Fulton Weds E. Syracuse Girl
SYRACUSE - Miss Patricia Anne Newell and Daniel Wayne Bassett were married Saturday in St. Matthew's Church by the Rev. James K. Bennett.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Newell of 315 Sunset Dr., East Syracuse. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Bassett of Fulton.
The bride wore a formal gown of Chantilly lace in a cage effect. Her bouffant veil of silk illusion was held by a rose coronet edged with pearls. She carried white roses, orchids, miniature carnations, and English ivy.
Miss Margaret Newell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jacqueline Newell, sister of the bride, Miss Jane Bassett, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Sandra Metz, and Miss Jo Ann Bush. Flower girls were Brenda Jean Newell, sister of the bride, and Mary Bacon, cousin of the bride.
Charles Vredenburg Jr. of Baldwinsville was best man. Ushers were Raymond Bassett Jr. and Corey Wolford, cousins of the bridegroom, Rance Baxter and Theodore Uzunoff.
The bride is a June graduate of State University College at Geneseo, where she was a member of Alpha Clionian Sorority. She will become a member of the faculty of East Syracuse-Minoa School in the fall.
The bridegroom is a June graduate of State University College at Oswego where he was a member of Sigma Tau Fraternity. He will become a member of the faculty of Baldwinsville School in the fall.
A reception and dinner were held in the Fremont Lanes, East Syracuse.
The couple left for a wedding trip to Atlantic City, N.J.
