Turner Staton Bass, 46
Turner Staton Bass Jr., 46, of 2408 U.S. 220 North, Ellerbe, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 19, 1959, in Greesnburg, Pa., a son of Catherine Anne McLaughlin Bass and the late Turner Staton Bass.
He was the co-owner and operator of Ellerbe Springs Nursery and Landscaping and a member of First United Methodist Church of Ellerbe. He graduated from E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville and attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Ellerbe with the Rev. Donald Daniels officiating. Internment will be private.
He is survived by his wife, Traci Altimus Bass of the home; their son, James Turner "JT" Bass of the home, his mother, Catherine M. Bass of Ellerbe, and his brothers, John Bass of Ellerbe and William Bass of Hickory.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor and at other times at his mother's home at 2832 U.S. 220 North, Ellerbe.

ELLERBE -- Turner Staton Bass Sr., 66, of 2382 U.S. 220 North, formerly of Fayetteville, died Monday.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ellerbe First United Methodist Church by the Revs. Denny Glennon and Roger Paxton. Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home.
Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Catherine M. Bass of the home; three sons, John H. Bass and Turner S. Bass Jr., both of Ellerbe, and William T. Bass of Hickory; a sister, Emily B. Griggs of Durham; and two grandchildren.
