Elton Woodrow Bass
Lake Butler - Elton Woodrow Bass, 79 of Lake Butler passed away November 21, 2013, Thursday afternoon surrounded by his family at Shands University of Florida Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was born in Gilchrist County, lived in Lake Butler for the last 24 years. He was the son of the late Hansford B. Bass and Clodia Waters Bass. He retired from Shadd Trucking. He is a member of the Baptist Church. He is an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Joyce Hines Bass; daughters, Joyce Dollar of Bell, Annette Castner of Brooker, Joanne Raulerson (Gene) of Lake Butler, Brenda Suggs, (Jerry) of Lake Butler, Judy Smith of Lake Butler; sons, Tony E. Jordan (Wendy) Lake Butler, Danny R. Bass of Lacrosse, Terry Bass (Wanda) Lake Butler, Wilbur White of Tennessee; sister, Georgia Mae Stanley of Bell, 25 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
