Obituary
Mrs. Napoleon Girard
Mrs. Napoleon Girard, who died suddenly on Friday, October 25ht, was born on May 10th, 1863, daughter of the late Philomena and Noel Bessette. On September 2, 1889 she was united in marriage to Napoleon Girard, who died Oct. 4, 191. Of this union seven children were born all of who survive: Mrs. W.J. Boyea and Mrs. N.M. Boyea of Malone, N.Y.; Hubert and Leroy of New York City, Clarence of Yonkers; Mrs. L.J. Graves and Miss Bertha Girard of this city. Also eight grandchildren; Darrel Girard, Paul and Naomi Boyea, Norman and Leonard Boyea, Gerald Gravews and Claire Girard; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Mayo of Monson, Mass., and Mrs. Edward Faette of Malone, N.Y. and one brother Charles Bessette of Malone, N.Y.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 28, at nine o?clock from St. Peter?s church. Rev. Father Julian Racette officiated at the requiem high mass and services at the grave.
The pall bearers were six cousins, Charles Jabaut, Fred Jabaut, Daniel Jabaut, Arthur Bessette, Charles Bessette and Frank Laforce.
Mrs. Girard is the third member of her family to have passed away within a period of four months. A brother Peter Bessette died suddnely here July 17 and another brother Noel Bessette passed away Sept. 5 in Malone, N.Y.
Among the out of town relatives and friends who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bessette and family, Mrs. Noel Bessette, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fayette, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Boyes and family, Mr. and Mrs. N.M. Boyea and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cerocher, Mrs. J. Welch, Mr. and Mrs. A. Plumadore and Mrs. Perry, all of Malone.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Girard and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Girard of New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Girard of Yonkers, Oscar Bessette and daughter Frances, of Albany; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bessette and daughter of Saranac; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mayo and son Raymond of Monson, Mass. Mrs. Minnie Diederick and son Paul of Springfield, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. L. Robillard and daughter, Hermoine of St. Albans, Vt., Mr. Wm. Mayo of Rouses Point, Mrs. Cecile Benecal, Mr. and Mrs. Geo Reid and daughter Gloria of Schenectady, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kelly and daughter Bernice of Keene Valley.
