BESSETTE – In Malone, Oct. 22, of apoplectic shock, Mrs. Noel Bessette, aged 57 years.
Mrs. Bessette had been an invalid for four years from a former shock and was lovingly cared for by her husband had her sister, Miss Virginia Belanger. Everything was done for her improvement and comfort and her condition had been such of late that hope of her recovery was entertained. A second shock on Wednesday evening was so severe that she lapsed into unconsciousness and quickly expired. Mrs. Bessette was a woman of thoroughgoing character, a devoted member of Notre Dame church, and bore her invalidism with true Christian patience and fortitude. She possessed a lovable personality and a most kindly heart which went out in sympathy to all in affliction for whom she was always doing generous acts. She will be deeply missed in the church and in the circle of her acquaintanceship. She was a native of Plattsburgh and spent her early life there, her maiden name being Julia Belanger. Most of her marri3ed life had been spent in Malone, where she leaves many mourning friends. She is survived by her husband, three sisters and a half brother. These are Mrs. Mary L. Dupont, of Plattsburgh; Mrs. Delina Boulerice, of St. Remi, Q.; Miss Virginia Belanger, of Malone, and Frank Belander, of Watertown. The funeral was held from Notre Dame church Saturday morning; interment in the family plot in Plattsburgh.
