Mrs. Josephine Gravel Died Here Yesterday
Mrs. Josephine Gravel of 36 Waterhouse Street, passed away at the convalescent home, 45 Sailly Ave. Monday morning following a long illness.
Mrs. Gravel was born in this city, Feb. 11, 1866, daughter of the Leander and Fleuvie (Jandreau) Bessette, and lived most of her life in this city.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edith Zuck and a brother, John Bessette, both of Plattsburgh, and several nieces and nephews. The remains are at Brown’s funeral parlors. A funeral Mass to be sung at Our Lady of Victory Church at 9 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be made in the family plot in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Mrs. Gravel was a member of the Lady of Rosary Society of Our Lady of Victory parish.
