Services will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis followed by burial in Boone Cemetery. Mr. Bass was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Purvis. He was a delivery man for the Hattiesburg American for 44 years and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie May McRaney Bass; one infant son, Cedric Charles Bass; his parents, Houston and Evelyn Bass; and one sister, Doris Merle Bates. He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Joe Bass of McIntosh, Ala. and Troy L. Bass of Petal; two brothers-in-law, Rev. Charles McRaney and Homer Paul McRaney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 5 ? 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis.
